Weight and Capacity.

This week the children have been learning all about weight and capacity.

They have been working hard to compare objects and find out which are heavier and which are lighter. We knew that an elephant would be heavier than a mouse, but we had great fun investigating which would be heavier out of a toy car and some pasta...

We also enjoyed finding out which bottle would hold the most water, we had to be very careful not to spill any as we poured if from one bottle into another.

  

We now know that if you pour all of the water from a 2 litre bottle into a 1 litre bottle it will over flow, but that there is enough room for all of the water from two 1 litre bottles inside of one 2 litre bottle.
