Physical Development

This week the reception children have been focussing on their gross motor and fine motor skills. This has involved lots of outside climbing, balancing and running around games such as 'Stuck in the Mud' for gross motor skills (large movements) and fine motor skills such as tracing, threading, cutting, writing, (smaller movements). We have introduced the children to 'Write Dance' as well which is a fun movement program to music based on a story, helping them to develop their early writing skills. It was mark making with shaving foam today!!
