The Aliens Have Landed!

This week Dragonflies and Butterflies have been learning about space. There was great excitement this week when the children found that there were spaceships in the classrooms for the role play areas.  The children have pretended to be astronauts, they have been writing lots of describing words for aliens and have even found some evidence that some aliens may have visited the school over night! Outside by the adventure play area they found a strange spikey thing and some green gloop!  Outside on the ground were some spaceship markings and there were lots of underpants found in our garden!!! This has enabled the children to become very imaginative and provided them with lots of opportunities for developing their speaking skills. As a result they have produced some super report writing in Literacy.

 

 

 In maths the children have been learning about 2d and 3d shapes and have enjoyed talking about the shapes they have used to make their shape aliens.
