Making A Harvest Vegetable Soup

This week we listened to the story "Stone Soup" in which a clever soldier made some soup from stones. He got the villagers to add some extra ingredients! The Foxes and Hedgehogs decided to make some vegetable soup using  our harvest vegetables from the classroom.

The children chopped some carrots, sweet potatoes and butternut squash and onions to make a delicious soup. They added some salt and pepper and a stock cube and left it simmering in the staffroom.

"It tastes delicious",   "It smells like curry" "It's yummy", "It looks orangey and yellow" (some of the comments made).
