Olympic Athlete Visits Pennington

Larry Achike, an Olympic athlete, visited our school for a team superschool. We did our exercises with him and then he showed us his amazing Triple Jump. He hopped, stepped and jumped right across the hall and into the Maples room! Any sponsor money will be split between our school and support for young athletes.

The Maples and Willows have also been fascinated by watching lots of seeds grow. They have used magnifying glasses to observe the roots and shoots. Lots of disscussion has been heard around the growing table. In the Sensory Garden the children have been weeding, digging over the soil the raised beds and planting potatoes.

A pea or bean plant will be coming to you before the Easter hoilday. Please let us see the peas or beans in the summer term.

We had a very lively "Red Nose Day". We had a parade, we made bracelets and bouncy noses and we ate a Red Nose jelly. We watched a dvd of some people we will be helping .We raised £100,

Our next Family Celebration will be on wed 30th March at 2.45 and will have a focus on how to help your children with their independent writing.
