Our trip to the Minstead Study Centre was absolutely wonderful. The children really enjoyed themselves and loved being able to get out and about in the forest with all of their friends.
During the day we walked in a stream and explored the 'Wild Woods', it was just like being in the jungle, but we were really glad we didn't bump into any lions or tigers...
Later on we made a huge circle out of sticks and threw leaves into the air to make leaf rain. It wasn't as wet as all of the real rain that happened at the end of the day.
We had to look after some animal puppets during the day and make sure they were happy, we helped them to make some 'crab apple spiders'.
One of the best bits of the day was sitting in the 'Round House' and listening to a story all about the 'Minstead Spider', we watched the camp fire and some of us make little clay pots.
It was a truly magical day and we are all very glad we went, we hope the children have been telling you all about our adventure.
There are a lot more photographs (over 100). We will be showing these as part of our Cookies and Carols celebration on Tuesday 6th December 2.45.
Our Christmas Post Box will be open from Monday for the children to post any cards they may wish to give to their friends.

Joshua, had a really enjoyable day at Minstead. He came home full of beans explaining what he had seen and done. He loved the 'fire' and enjoyed throwing leaves around and now like to do that on the way to school etc!!
Thank you for being brave enough to take a huge group of 4-6 year olds out on a rainy day adventure, it was great for them to be given the chance to be a little independent, and they enjoyed getting messy and learning about the forest in a fun way. I don't think the weather dampened any of their spirits! Keep up the good work, Effie loves her school!
