The Runaway Chapati

This week the children have been learning the story 'The Runaway Chapati' which is very similar to the Gingerbread Man. They have enjoyed making Chapati s which involved reading and following a recipe. The children loved tasting them which has resulted in some fantastic describing vocabulary ..."delicious,  bumpy,  flat,  'soft like a gummy bear' . The focus for writing has been instruction writing on 'how to make a chapati' .
