Winter Stories Coming Home'

From the Waitrose Christmas advert, the reception children this week have based their learning on the book 'Coming Home' by Michael Morpurgo. A plucky little robin sets out on an epic journey. Through dark forests, driving rain, clapping thunder and flashing lightning. Across frozen wastes, huge mountains and stormy seas he flies. And all the while he's dreaming of home. The children have been brainstorming 'winter words' in literacy and writing how the robin felt when he got home.
This week the children experienced a cold frosty morning and made some bird feeders to help the birds in winter. Through PD they have been darting and flying around like birds!
