Closing one door and opening another...

As we reach the end of the first half of the Summer Term it is once again time to say a huge well done to the children in Reception. Lots of social and academic progress as always, and a whole lot of fun mixed in as well.

The next half term is a bit of a mixture in terms of old and new routines, as well as the children's first year of school coming to an end. When we return to school on Tuesday 4th June the children will be entering and exiting Reception through their classroom's individual side door and we ask that family members say their goodbyes before they do so. This will help the children to get ready for Year 1 and take another step in developing their independence skills.

The second half of the Summer term will also involve settling sessions in Year 1 and end of year celebrations while the focus on reading, writing and number work will continue as usual. Again in order to get ready for Year 1 we will be trialing different class combinations and working groups to give the children their best opportunities to continue to make fantastic progress next year.

Thank you all for your continued support, enjoy the break, see you after half-term.
