FIRE!!

The children were really excited to see a Fire Engine drive into the playground as part of Year 1's 'Heroes and Heroines' project.

We were allowed to take a look around and it was great being able to get so close to it. The fire fighters even showed us how they squirt water to put out fires!

Then our garden shed caught on fire!

The children had to problem-solve and work out a safe way to put the fire out without getting to close to it. They made good use of our guttering and stands to transport the water across the garden and to the base of the shed fire...

In the small world area there was a fire in the Dolls House, we had to help the fire engines get to the emergency and rescue the people inside. It was a good job we had been practicing our fire fighting skills.
